Hollandville Project Public Hearing

The Town of Limerick, Maine

The Town of Limerick, Maine will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building to discuss an application being submitted to the State of Maine CDBG program for a
Public Infrastructure grant program. The purpose of the grant application is to upgrade Water and Sewer infrastructure on Wescott, Maple and Prospect Streets.

Public comments will be solicited at this
Hearing and will be submitted as part of the application. All persons wishing to make comments or ask questions about the grant application are invited to attend this Public Hearing.

programs or services, please call Select Board’s Administrative Assistant at 207-793-2166 ext. 6 at the Municipal Building,  so that accommodations can be made.

Grant Process

The public hearing scheduled for March 9, 2022 is a requirement of the Community Development Block Grant process.


The public is encouraged to attend or send questions prior to the hearing.

Article 19

Shall the Town of Limerick vote to app

rove a Community Development Block Grant project development for the following program and dollar amounts:


Program: Community Development Public Infrastructure

Amount: $1,000,000.00 


and to submit same to the Department of Economic and Community Development and if said program is approved, to authorize the municipal officers to accept said grant funds, to make such assurances, assumes responsibilities, and exercise such authority  as necessary and reasonable to implement such programs.


Furthermore, the Town of Limerick is cognizant of the requirement  that should the intended National Objective of the Community Development program not be met all Community Development  funds must be repaid to the State of Maine Community Development program.


Select Board Recommend: Yes

Budget Committee Recommend: Yes


Article 20

To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Select Board to appropriate $125,000.00 from the American Rescue Fund Account and transfer $125,000.00 from the Capital Project Reserve Account to the Capital Project Hollandville Revitalization Account. 


NOTE: A 25% match of the $1,000,000.00 is required by the Community Development Block Program.
