Deepvale In Progress 2026
Prelude
November 2025 - Selectboard signed a letter of agreement with Dirigo Engineering for the Deepvale Project. By the end of January 2026, a construction set of drawings will be prepared for a construction Request for Proposal to initiate the Deepvale bidding process.
Request for Proposal sent out 1/29/2026.

Feb 26, 2026 Bids were opened on Wednesday with all seven bidders in attendance. Bid packages will now be reviewed by Dirigo Engineering for completeness and accuracy. The CDAC will then review them and make a recommendation for award to the Limerick Selectboard.
March 2026 - The CDAC reviewed the bids for the Deepvale Project along with proposals for an Inspector and the engineering plans on Tuesday March 10, 2026. In attendance were CDAC members, trustees from the Water & Sewer District and Project Manager John Cleveland.
Recommendations will be sent to the Selectboard for review with a presentation at the Selectboard Meeting on Monday 16, 2026 at 7 p.m.
Deepvale Update
The construction contract for the Deepvale Water & Sewer projects was signed today, 3/24/2026, with Dearborn Brothers Construction of Buxton, Maine. Work is projected to begin in early April 2026. The area includes a portion of Emery Corner Road from Rt 11 Washington Street to Watson Hill Road. And a few hundred feet of Watson Hill Rd from Emery Corner Rd. A new fire hydrant will be installed on Watson Hill Road in addition to new connections. The project ensures improved water access for firefighting and local residences.
Deepvale Update

4/5/2026 setting up equipment, materials and doing some initial measurements for the Deepvale Project.
Thirsty Turf is scheduled to install temporary water lines for all properties in the project area on both portions of Emery Corner Rd and Watson Hill.
1425 linear feet of new water main, one fire hydrant and twenty service connections will be installed. The new twelve inch water main will replace an undersized 6 inch cast iron pipe this section is part of the transmission main from the primary well source to the Town Limerick distribution system. The new water main will replace circa 1910 pipe.
400 Linier feet of new sewer line will be replaced.
This line will be at least 10 feet from the water main to improve safety and reduce the risk of contamination. A new fire hydrant will also be installed on Watson Hill Rd. This aims to enhance fire-fighting capabilities in the area and ensure community safety.
The project is expected to be completed within three months, minimizing disruptions to the local community.
Traffic Advisory: Expect intermittent disruptions on Emery Corner Rd (beside the Laundromat) to Watson Hill Rd and Watson Hill Rd (North) to Peninsular Drive during the project.
