Update on the Water & Sewer Project

on Main Street in Limerick.

The Sewer line replacement portion of the project was completed on June 12, 2020.

The Water line replacement portion of the project will begin on Monday June 15, 2020 with the installation of a temporary water line to provide water during the construction of the new water line.  This temporary service will take about a week to install and test.  Once the testing is completed, temporary water lines will be attached to property owners’ buildings the week of June 22, 2020.

The firm Thirsty-Turf Irrigation Inc. will be assisting Dearborn Construction with the installation of the temporary water service.  This temporary service will be in place for 4 to 5 weeks while the new water line is constructed. Replacing the old water line with a new water line requires Installing a temporary water line to maintain water service to your building during construction.  Should anyone choose to not hook on to the temporary water service, they will be without running water in their building for the duration of the construction of the new water main.

Approximately nine hundred (900) linear feet of water line will be replaced on Main Street. The water line will be installed on the opposite side of the street from the sewer line.  Separating and replacing both the water and sewer lines is required for the health and safety of the entire community.

One way traffic will continue to flow on Main Street without a detour during construction.

New paving on Washington Street is planned for Main Street to Central Avenue in July.

New paving on Main Street is planned for August.

Thank you to everyone who travels, lives or works on Main Street for your patience and cooperation as this essential and important utility project is completed. This project will not only improve the Town’s utility infrastructure, but also protect the health and safety of Limerick’s citizens and visitors.
